In the lead-up to the launch of IDLES' third album, ULTRA MONO, we produced and directed pre and post-launch content including Spotify canvasses and social teasers.
We had a clear creative steer from frontman Joe Talbot, with pre-launch content mirroring Russell Oliver's existing artwork for the album.
With the primary concept being a one-shot of a ball's impending impact, we shot on a Phantom Flex 4K at 2000fps with Aputure lighting. The finished edit was slowed down further to 3000fps utilising frame blending, with the ball graded to match the album cover's colour and aeshtetics.
